It's ok not to be ok

When we lose someone to suicide, the especially painful part is the What could I have done? factor. The fact is, we all play a role in each other's lives, and sometimes we can play a life-saving role -- even without necessarily knowing it.

The Right Now has partnered with Hope For The Day, after losing our dear David Grinslade to suicide in April 2017. He was father to Stefanie's children, and family to us all. His death broke us down and ultimately brought us closer with each other and with our fans. Hope For The Day is an amazing organization, dedicated to holding space for the hard conversations in life, and helping us all feel comfortable in those spaces. Folks, it's ok not to be ok. Let's talk about it.

Stefanie herself tells you all about it in the video above. We accomplished our goal of raising $1,121 as part of HFTD's "1 for 121" campaign, and raised another $350 at our New Year's Eve show at The Hideout.  Please consider donating here.

Here's an emotional moment from The Hideout show. Let's keep the conversation going.
